The "Repel Art"

Updated: Aug 7, 2023

The "Repel Art" technique, when used with a combination of Japanese ink and synthetic resin, creates a unique visual effect by repelling the ink from certain areas of a surface. The synthetic resin creates a barrier that prevents the ink from adhering, creating a stark contrast between the covered and uncovered areas. This technique can be used to create a range of effects, from delicate patterns and shapes to bold abstract compositions. The use of Japanese ink adds an organic, fluid quality to the work, while the synthetic resin provides a modern and industrial edge. The interplay between the organic and the synthetic creates an interesting tension in the work that can be both visually striking and conceptually engaging.
